The challenge
A boutique hair and color studio needed a polished presence that showcased its stylists, funneled visitors into booking, and let staff run promotions without calling a developer every time.

The approach

Migrated the salon into a Turborepo monorepo with Sanity CMS driving gallery, services, and team content.

Integrated Square Appointments for inline booking, with a hosted booking-page fallback when the API isn’t configured.

Layered on a reviews surface and a campaigns/lookbook system the salon runs itself.

Configured dual static-export and server deploy modes for flexibility.

From a single site to a CMS-driven platform
The project evolved from a plain Next.js salon site into a content-managed platform — the key move being to hand editorial control (gallery, services, campaigns) to the salon, so the site stays fresh without ongoing developer involvement.
