An editorial marketing site that converts Instagram attention into bookings for a premium, fashion-grade salon.
The challenge
ARCA had a ~13K-strong Instagram following but no home to convert that attention into booked appointments — and risked reading as a generic spa rather than the premium, fashion-grade salon it is. The site had to change that impression in a single fold.

The approach

Positioned the site as an editorial, fashion-grade brand statement rather than a service menu — imagery and typography carry the premium feel.

Made the Mangomint booking hand-off impossible to miss, so Instagram traffic converts without friction.

Gave the owner an embedded Sanity Studio for content and an admin campaigns dashboard for running promotions.

Anchored the whole experience in real brand facts — stylists, address, retail lines — so it reads as a real, established salon.
Design iteration
Nine full design variants before committing
This is the clearest example of the studio’s high-iteration process: nine complete design variants (v1–v9) were built and captured as client-facing comparison sheets, grouped into three families — “the darks,” a mixed set including a light-cream ground, and a warm-plaster set leaning hard into a Cormorant serif. Across them we varied palette, hero treatment (static editorial vs. full-bleed video vs. a cinematic motion banner), type expression, and layout rhythm. The production site committed to a dark-drenched editorial direction where the warm near-black surface is the brand color, and the light theme was retired.
